James is a Neuropsychologist and registered Clinical Psychologist, Based in New Zealand, with 13 years experience in public and private sectors.
He completed training in the original Concussion Clinic, Starship Hospital and Auckland Hospital head injury and rehabilitation departments.
He has acted as a consultant on traumatic brain injury for government and non-government organisations. He gained his qualifications at Auckland University. James’ thesis was on severe TBI recovery at 2 years. James is a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society and the International Neuropsychology Society.
James has assessed club, ITM Cup and Super 15 rugby players. He has neuropsychologically assessed and treated elite sportsman and women in multiple sports including: boxing; mixed martial arts; cycling; multi-sports endurance; yachting; equestrian; horse racing; rugby league; sky- diving; motor racing; hockey and cricket. He has assessed international rugby players from France, Samoa, and Tonga.
James is also the Principal of Monarch Psychology
